Red Devils went very closed to the first goal just after 8 minutes but evergreen keeper Friedel (40 years old), who joined to Hotspurs in the summer, saved the shot of Cleverley.
Bale tried in the 21st minute but found De Gea's foot. Rooney and Young missed to open the scoring a few minutes later.
Danny Wellbeck beated Friedel in the 61st minute with a perfect header. Cleverley crossed perfectly for the youngster who found the winning shot.
Welleck gave the assist to Anderson for the second goal fifteen minutes before of the end and finally Rooney scored for 3:0 assisted by Giggs, who began the game from the bench.
